The rehabilitation works of the Pont de l’Avinguda República Catalana have begun.
The Castelló d’Empúries City Council will begin the rehabilitation works of the Pont de l’Avinguda República Catalana on October 27, a key action to improve the safety, functionality and urban image of this emblematic infrastructure of the municipality.
To ensure the correct development of the works, the bridge will be closed to traffic from November 3 for a period of approximately six weeks. During this time, alternative routes will be set up to minimize traffic impacts.
The reforms will allow a significant improvement in the construction structure, as well as an increase in safety and functionality for both road traffic and the passage of boats.
In this way, the project will contribute to strengthening the connection between the urban core and the port area, promoting safer and more sustainable mobility.
The project has been awarded to the company RUBAU TARRÉS, SAU, with a budget of €631,481.47 (VAT included).
This action is financed by Next Generation EU funds, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and is integrated into the Tourism Sustainability Plans in Destinations Program (PSTD).
