The Government and the Costa Brava Girona Water Consortium (CACBG) will acquire twelve mobile desalination plants starting in June to supply a dozen municipalities. According to the executive, four desalination plants will be installed in Roses, four in the ETAP Empuriabrava plants and four more on the Empuriabrava beach. The destination of the water produced in the Roses desalination plants will be the municipality itself, through a connection to the distribution network, while the other desalination plants will supply the municipalities served by ETAP Empuriabrava: Cadaqués, Llançà, Roses, Castelló d'Empúries -which includes Empuriabrava-, Mancomunitat de Pau, Palau-Saverdera, Vilajuïga, Garriguella, Pedret y Marzà, Port de la Selva and Selva de Mar.
